Animation of the nautical ecosystem and recommendations for a new offer of the nautical providers

Challenges
Finistère 360° is an attraction agency created by the Conseil Départemental du Finistère. Its mission is to develop tourism and water sports on a departmental scale.
- In view of the 2020 municipal elections, the agency wanted to carry out a collective and collaborative reflection on the evolution of the nautical offers throughout its territory.
- The objective is to provide keys to understanding and tools to the municipal teams (new or re-elected) in order to initiate an evolution of the offers proposed by all the nautical service providers.
Methodology
The nautical service providers were involved throughout the work and the reflection.
- Individual interviews with 15 personalities from the water sports and outdoor sectors: sociologists, journalists, company directors, institutional managers, start-up managers, etc.
- Benchmark on the evolution of practice offers and concepts in different sectors: ski schools, indoor climbing fun spaces, escape games, nautical events.
- Organisation and facilitation of 4 collaborative workshops with water sports providers in Finistère: water sports centres, surfing schools, self-employed entrepreneurs, etc.
- Development of recommendations: operation of nautical service providers and diversification of the offer.
- Formalization of trend books for all stakeholders.
Results
A varied system was put in place (interviews, questionnaires, collaborative workshops, etc.) in order to bring up a maximum number of proposals from the field.
- Contribution of the expertise of Sport Value and Codezero on the prospective and evolution of the water sports and sporting activities in general.
